When Folks were real people.
All my life, I have been laughing when someone comes up with words for a song that seem truer than any original song could ever be. Some of these tunes are so familiar that I wonder if "Hey Lolly Lolly" might be something that little kids used to sing with different words. Some of the songs, like "Ezekiel Saw the Wheel" and "Old Time Religion" must be pretty close to the original, but these guys sing them like they are getting away with something. If anyone actually knows a different version of "Hey Lolly Lolly," they can probably keep it to themselves. The words on this album are funny enough for me.
