Good album, but most of the songs I wanted were also on "The Essential Red," which I also purchased.

To me its the last good cd he put out. I bought this when it first came out when it was untitled i have it on cassette. I like all of older stuff.

She just can't stand Van Halen. Aw, damn, 20/20, I know now why it didn't FLY.


Solid Album
This album just never gets old. While not a *huge* Sammy Hagar fan, I do like his solo stuff. So many good songs. Not really a bad one on here in my opinion. Turn it up, rock out, and have fun.


Sammy's Best
He was already in Van Halen and had to fulfill a contractual obligation with Geffen when he recorded this. This was Sammy's last solo effort before the Waboritas became his band in the 90's. Personally I feel that this is some of his finer work. He rocks as always, but he gets deeper lyrically than in some of his previous efforts. I would classify this as good, hard-edged rock and roll with a touch of blues. It has a rough sort of 80's feel to it, but by no means could you confuse this style with 80's hair metal. Two of the songs on this CD were staples of his solo during subsequent Van Halen tours: "Eagles Fly" or "Give to Live. " I also like "Back Into You" and "Hands and Knees. " The production on the CD is excellent, and Eddie Van Halen contributes bass guitar. I first bought this on cassette when it came out in '87 and still enjoy it today. If you like Hagar or no-frills rock then I think you'll enjoy it too.
