Power Metal at its best... Their epic choruses combined with Helloween-ish speedy guitar riffs make for an excellent combination of sounds and result in pure top-of-the-line Power Metal. Hammerfall takes Helloween and Manowar, crushes them, and comes out on top. This record is leaning more towards Helloween than the first, and some might say that the ballads on this record aren't as good as the two on the first, but that's not to say that this doesn't need to be in your collection. It's catchy, sometimes anthemic choruses keep the epic Manowar-type sound alive and kickin'. I don't think that there are very many better metal bands out there than this one, and this record displays that point most aptly.
