one of the missing pieces
If this tremendous album isn't in your collection of blues, why do you bother to collect any blues?.

A "Lost" Classic
What an idea -- backing the multi-talented Hammond with what was arguably the hottest young electric blues band of the day. When this 1979 recording was first released, it made quite a splash among blues fans. Some of Hammond's best vocals here, wonderfully appropriate guitar work by Jimmy Thackery and a great selection of blues standards. Any blues fan - especially anyone who enjoyed Hammond's recent outing with the Nightcats - has to hear this one.
