Brutal and Awesome Jasta and Hatebreed deliver as usual. This CD is beyond awesome. The cover tunes are done well and do justice to the originals. Because of this album, I am discovering some "new" bands and tunes.
Hatebreed Forever!!.
A great cover album
I didnt know until it arrived it was all cover songs. This is a really good CD. Hatebreed ads their own sound to all of them. It is clear they are more paying tribute to the bands instead of trying to make perfect copys of the originals. There are songs from such bands as Slayer, Metallica, Suicidal Tendencies and Sepultura. If you like metal you will probiliy like this album.
This Album is terrible
Two plus years later this album "For The Lions" finally came out, so i went out and bought it and was excited to pop it into my computer, first song pops up and it sounds really familiar. Hatebreed's Sepremacy was amazing, they did such a great job and it kept me busy until I heard word of a new album. By the time I get to "Escape" I realize this is nothing but a bunch of covers. WTF!?!?!?! This album is garbage, i spent this long to hear them rip off a bunch of other bands, complete crap. If I want to hear Metallica's "Escape" I'll listen to Metallica. I wipe my @$$ with this if I could, luckily I got my money back and spent it on Lamb Of God's "Wrath"
This is all my opinion, just an unsatisfied customer telling you this product is trash.
Slightly overrated.
Yeah. . these are good songs. But when I hear a cover album. . . I want it to sound like the band (Hatebreed) putting their own spin on the songs. . . My gripe is that from Slayer to MadBall to Merauder to the Judge cover, Jamey Jasta tries to mimic the original vocal style of that song and that band. I didn't like that. To make matters worse I thought that the production on each song sounded different. I think you can pass on this one. Sorry.
.
impressive covers/get best buy exclusive(sheer terror cover)!
they covered so many bands and with great care to do them so very well but buy the best buy version there is a sheer terror i spoiler cover that kills and bonus live tracks. this cd is one amazing piece of work showing this band talents that you might never see normally in their music.
