Onward Spaceship Hawkwind! The DVD side doesn't necessarily show Hawkwind at their best but gives a great insight into the versatility and different styles of a long enduring great band. An excellent concept with audio Cd on one side, flip the disc and it's a DVD with concert foortage on the other side. The CD side is an excellent addition to any Hawkwind collection with some great contributions from old Robert Calvert works Dave Brock has been working on for the Brock/Calvert Project album. Not a Hawkwind album I would recommend for a first time listener, for that I would suggest something like Space Ritual, Business Trip, Doremi Fasol Latido, or Electric Teepee for a good range of their music. However, for someone familiar with Hawkwind's ever changing style and Dave Brock's whims, I would heartily recommend this album. I give it five stars for original format and some excellent work by Dave putting it all together. Onward Spaceship Hawkwind!. Listening not watching I was a little bored with the dvd part though, and was hoping for some better footage, but this is HAWKWIND!.
