not for the tough guys... What the heck is "over-produced"? What are you looking for? Folk? This is what it is. All those macho haters who wanna kill everything beautiful pi$$ me off BIG time. My Chemical Romance are more punk than emo and Lostprophets are what's wrong with radio today - a bunch of ugly packs of wolves spitting on their mics. I hear that in every other song on my local alternative station - bands like Saliva, Godsmack, etc. etc; gets tiresome quick and I never liked that heartless garbage to begin with. This music is apparantly suited for the kind of people who'd prefer to talk about their differences rather than start a fist-fight and contribute to the further developments of HeKK on Earth. Of course, as Hawthorne Heights probably knows, talking things out sometimes doesn't help and sometimes all there is to do is sing a sad song and hope someone hears you. As for the simple facts regarding this CD, it's catchy, it's emotional, and it's a little loud, has some screaming, but mostly some good smooth singing. A good alternative to Dashboard Confessional's pretty-boy-sounding vocals (why doesn't that guy join a boy band?). . . DBC used to be good, don't get me wrong, and I do enjoy some of their/his current stuff, but ounce for ounce Hawthorne Heights is a more solid and effective sound. I know some people would rather listen to Death-Metal as opposed to the angelic Celine Dion (not that I like her music; it's mostly dance and I don't care for that genre a whole lot; her ballads are good, but certainly not deserving of high honors, at least not for the melody aspect of it; her voice is top notch, she just doesn't have the creative prowess to use it to full effect), but as to why all those Death-Metal or Ted Nugent (or whatever you people think ISN'T "totoal crap" - i. e. : emo) can't fathom the idea of someone else's tastes being different is beyond me.
