A preview of his Live from Bonnarroo set
Just 5 songs here - 3 of which are on his Bonnarroo set. Warren's first acoustic disc and his first solo disc in a decade.
The "unique" piece is Warren's version of the Allman Brothers "End of the Line" which can be found nowhere else. It's a much stripped dowm different though not better version and fans of Warren and the Allman Brothers will want to own this. This is not an easy to find disc at this point but it's a nice one.

Masterful!!!
He picked up his guitar and played "Patchwork Quilt". I was driving late at night listening to a live radio interview with Warren Haynes, when he was asked to play something. I was in love!!!! I ordered this CD and fell more deeply in love with the voice, the lyrics, and the guitar.

Amazing EP from Mr. Haynes
True, Warren's bread and butter may be the electric guitar, but he handles himself just fine on all of these tunes. The Lone EP was the first official solo acoustic release from Warren Haynes, and it contains some really great songs. In fact, whoever chose these versions picked well, as they are some of the best I've heard (I have heard bootlegs from the shows these are taken from as well as some others). Now if you have Warren's full length album Live at Bonnaroo, you may be wondering why you should get this since three of the songs are repeated from that set (Patchwork Quilt, I'll Be the One, and Fallen Down). First of all, I prefer each of the versions here even though I do enjoy the Bonnaroo versions. I just find these sound more polished on the guitar (particularly Patchwork Quilt) and Warren's vocals are stronger (probably because he wasn't jamming and partying the night before like he undoubtedly was at Bonnaroo!). Second, and more importantly to me, the two songs that aren't on Bonnaroo are great. End of the Line is an enjoyable Allman Brothers rocker, but Indian Sunset is the real treasure here. This is an Elton John tune from the Madman across the Water album, and Warren absolutely kills it. The guitar, vocals, lyrics. . . it's the real deal. It's become one of my favourite songs ever, and if I lost this EP, I would buy it back even if it were only that one song. So check this out; if you can't find a seller here, I believe they're still selling it one Warren Haynes' official site. Enjoy. .
