Another good effort from CL.
I simply adore Courtney Love's way with words and though some might find her a little harsh, she is a great musician. This record is a few years old, but the followup to Live Through This is an excellent one. Get this one. It's that good. The best, though, is Live Through This.


Solid Album from the late 90s
To cut to the chase. . this is a a very good album with a lot of hooks and is very upbeat. Every song is listenable. This and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Californication are my two favorite albums from the 1998-1999 period. I highly recommend it. I still listen to it from time to time and originally purchased it shortly after it came out.

Love is sure good at sounding like/impersonating her late ex. this album was a good pick.


Impressive!
I bought this album in 2004, I heard of the band and Courtney Love my whole life but I never got around to hearing the band's wickedness until one night. . Listening to Launch radio before hitting the sack "Celebrity Skin" was a featured on my channel. After hearing it I purchased The Full-LENGTH album within a matter of 15 minutes after sampling other tracks of course. I'm a very late fan, basically when all the fun and hype has faded out and that's fine, It's for my own personal listening pleasures. This album pulled me in drastically, I can't get enough. "Celebrity Skin" "Awful" "Northern Star" "Hit So Hard" "Reasons To Be Beautiful" and My FAVORITE! FAVORITE! FAVORITE! track "Dying" are still songs I run in the ground to this very day. I play this album like it's brand NEW- What I like most about Courtney Love's voice is how much it reminds me of Joan Jett's, It's gritty and hardcore. I'm sure some Hard Rock snob would beg to differ but that's their opinion. Overall this is a Rock N Roll SMASH!! and i'm satisfied with it.


excellent album
Album begins with rock anthem Celebrity Skin, and varies between melodic rhythms such as Heaven Tonight and rocking beats. This is the first Courtney Love led band album I have purchased and I shall be coming back for more. The lyrics sway between strong emotions such as anger and relief at survival, it gives one hope that no matter how bad a situation is things will always improve eventually. Its contagious. Highly recommend it. .
