Dig it...
I was only familiar with Not Quite Sonic when I purchased this cd, but this whole album is top-notch. Great album. From the get-go of Mothers to the end of Universe, this album is tough to stop before it is finished. . . every song is a jam. Literally. Too bad these guys never got a lot of love here in the States, but I tell everyone I can about these guys and especially this album.

Gone but not forgotten
This album is excellent!! I forgot how good it was until I picked it up a few months ago. . growiing up in upstate NY, this album got a lot of airplay. I really didn't dig it then, maybe heard a few tracks with mild appreciation. . but now for some reason I can't get enough of their sound!.

My 3rd favorite I mother earth album.
Not mainstream like Scenery and Fish, and the sound is not as well developed as their last two albums, but every song is great. This is a classic album.

Check out Levitate, Rain will fall, So gently we go, Not quite sonic, Lost my america might be the best. Undone is also awesome.

HARD TO DEFINE- Like a mix of Rush & Santana & Big Wreck & Extreme
THEY CAN JAM WITH THE BEST, AND A VERY UNIQUE SINGER (TRY EDWIN'S SOLO STUFF- IT'S GREAT) . OK- MAYBE NOT A GOOD ANALOGY, BUT AS GOOD AS THESE BANDS, AS TECHNICALLY SKILLED, AND WRITE VERY INTERESTING, OFF THE WALL LYRICS. . . IF YOU LIKE ANY OF THE OTHER STUFF I REVIEWED TRY IME, AND GIVE IT TIME TO GROW ON YOU.

Amazing Funk Metal.
It was originally not my intent on the day I walked into my local used cd store to find "Dig". I cannot begin to tell you how much I am grateful for picking up this album. I was actually looking for "Quicksilver Meat Dream" after hearing a few tracks on internet radio. Since I couldn't find that one that I was looking for I said, what the heck, so I picked it up. I was really suprised how I had gone in for their new album and fell in love with their first. The whole atmosphere of this album is excellent. The funk blues grungy style adds to the greatness with those emotional guitar solos like in the track "Universe in You". It reminds me just a bit of Pink Floyd when I hear it. Probably my favorite tracks are "Undone", "Lost My America", "Levitate", and "Universe in You". Here's my track ratings. . .

1. Mothers - 9/10
2. Levitate - 10/10
3. Rain Will Fall - 10/10
4. So Gently We Go - 10/10
5. Not Quite Sonic - 10/10
6. Production - 9/10
7. Lost My America - 10/10
8. No One - 10/10
9. Undone 10/10
10. Basketball - 9. 5/10
11. And the Experience - 9. 5/10
12. Universe in You - 10/10

Overall: 98% A

It's probably one of my most recent discoveries that I was amazed by. It's an all around excellent album if you are into Funk Metal style with a bit of Pink Floyd mixed in. It was an excellent addition to my growing collection.
