Decades of Miracles I finally found a Miracle Row CD [Import] [Original Recording Remastered] to update my collection. Thirty years ago, 1977, I bought this "record album" to add to my Janis Ian anthology. I love Miracle Row for its Spanish Harlem influence that salsa dances among Ian's Miracle Row/Maria lyrics. Her cut, Party Lights, is an in your face poem that takes the listener with Ian as she walks about and describes the goings on of a party that Ian attended. Let Me Be Lonely, on the other hand, is a Latin Jazzy (with a hint of Swing) interpretation of the value of being alone versus in a relationship. As with Ian's previous albums, Miracle Row's lyrics reflect and share her contemplative and insightful snapshots of time and place. Her musical voice stills speaks to me. The best review, or complement, for Janis Ian and Miracle Row is that decades later I am buying and re-buying her music. .
