Good Memories
It was a joy being able to listen to it again, this time on a CD format. I guess as many of you, I heard Janis Ian's "between The Lines" LP many many times during my teenage years. Good music, good lyrics. Overall, a very good collection of songs coming from the soul.


Always Captivating
Janis helps us put thoughts to what we feel. Water Colors reveals the complexity and emotions between men and women as only Janis Ian is able to expose it. .


At Seventeen
I think the song was written with me in mind. This song has deep memories of me. Three-quarters of that song is definitely me and I relate to it 100%. It is a beautiful song.

wOULD DEFINITELY BUY FROM THIS PERSON AGAIN. pRODUCT WAS RECEIVED VERY TIMELY AND IN GREAT SHAPE. nAME OF ALBUM IS "BETWEEN THE LINES. ".


A great singer/songwriter at her peak
While I think she still puts out quality music even today, her early work was as good as anyone's before or since. I was first exposed to Janis Ian as a college student in the mid-70s and have followed her up-and-down career ever since. This particular album was probably my favorite and not just because of her all-time hit "At Seventeen". Several songs still touch a nerve with the beautiful tune and exceptional lyrics. "Bright lights and promises" is an exceptional song and "Lover's Lullaby" is one for the ages as well. I heartily recommend this CD to anyone who likes pensive, well crafted songs that will stick in your head for days afterward.
