Great cd
I like the acoustic versions. I heard some of the songs on xm radio and decided to buy the cd. .


Dare I say this might be their best?
However, I was intrigued by the new album title and cover, the fact that they are now independent of the record companies' stranglehold and the positive reviews. Having grown up on vintage Indigo Girls, I was turned away from them by the horrible, overproduced MOR albums of late, and had all but written them off as current artists. The added enticement of the acoustic alternative to their new album finally won me over, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was prepared to be disappointed, but instead I find myself addicted to this blissful new music (both versions of the album), and the sensitive, wistful lyrics of the songs. I've had this album for 3 months, and each time I return to it, I find I love it more. It is a mature work of great beauty which rivals or could even beat their greatest work.
ps: has anyone else heard the artistic nod to 'Tangled Up in Blue' in the opening sequence to 'Second Time Around'? What's not to love? Thank you Indigo Girls xxx

Best IG album in years!
I've enjoyed most of their albums, but this album is just perfect. Wow, I just absolutely LOVE this album! I'm a fan and have been listening to the Girls for years, but would not consider myself a HUGE fan. There's not a bad song in the bunch, and it's SO nice to have the acoustic versions with this special edition. Needless to say - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!.


Indigo Girls
One song is a remake of Drivers Education from Amy's CD Prom. Another awesome CD by the Indigo Girls. It's fun to hear the song done as an Indigo's song and as the original. The CD comes in two parts, one is accoustic and the other is with a band. This is a really interesting way to listen to the CD. I do prefer the accoustic, but both are great.


Finally, the girls I know (and love)!!
I can't tell you how much I missed that sound, those harmonies and feeling lyrics. My first taste of Indigo Girls came with Swamp Ophelia, which ranks as one of my all time album of all time (by any artist). This CD brings it all back. But you MUST get the 2 disk set. I listened to the band disk first, liked it ok, some songs more than others (Sugar Tongue, Ghost of the Gang, Fleet of Hope), but the acoustic CD is right on target with me! Just like the Indigo Girls I first learned to love!! Just guitars, a few other stringed instruments and their harmonious voices!! I'll probably put the "band" CD away and wear the acoustic one out!!

I hope they can do this with all their CD's, it's nice to have a choice.
