Great intro to Interpol I totally agree that there are hints of Joy Division in their music but they definitely have their own sound. I truly love this band. Great workout music surprisingly! I will be downloading more of their music from Amazon post haste.
The Best of interpol
public pevert!!. this is defitnetly the best interpol record, is one of those cds,in wich you love every single song, this reaAntics: The Special Editionly define the indie sound of interpol!!
best song.
Good enough
While some of the beautiful, well produced interplay Interpol displayed so readily on their powerful debut is present, many songs as a whole just don't have that memorable quality so easily noticeable on TOYBL. Even if you could consciously hear them trying to avoid it, elements of the dreaded sophomore slump do dig their hooks into Antics. Still, there is much payoff, as nailing indie-anthemic choruses continue to remain a focal point.
Mostly filler
I'd never heard of this band until that incredibly moving, heartfelt tune came on the radio. "Evil" is an incredible song. The rest of the album is really forgettable - slow hands is passable, as are maybe 2 other songs. The rest is filler, sounds like it was written by robots. Dull. Give Turn on the Bright Lights a listen if you want to see what this band's capable of.
God Bless Interpol
A good album that grows on you. Evil is the song that got me into Interpol and opened a new world for me. Make sure and check out their other albums, esp. Our Love To Admire, my favorite Album that I own.
