Terrific INXS Compilation of Great Songs!!! This was never meant to be an anthology of their biggest hits. I love every song on this compilation of INXS songs taken from their post "Kick" album cd's. It is a selection of songs that should have been huge hits, but weren't. These songs have some of the best music and lyrics that the writing team of Hutchence and Fariss ever produced (Fariss, the music and Hutchence, the lyrics). Certainly, Michael Hutchence had one of the greatest voices and dynamic presences in rock and was a superstar frontman. These songs demonstrate just what a talented singer and lyricist Michael Hutchence was. If you are not familiar with INXS and just want a greatest hits cd, then this probably would not be your first choice. If, however, you are an INXS fan, or just like great songs sung by one of the best performers in the history of rock, then, in my opinion, you can't go wrong in purchasing this cd. Some of the songs on this cd, including Bitter Tears, Who Pays the Price, and Hear That Sound, are also featured on the Live, Baby, Live DVD, one of the best recorded concerts ever and one I very strongly recommend!.
disappointed
This WASN'T it. I am going to a free INXS concert later in the summer and wanted a Greatest Hits to become more familiar with their music. This turned out to be a compilation of the band's favorite unrecognized songs -hardly greatest hits.
