Customer Reviews OH MAN... The track "Revelations" is worth buying the cd alone. This gets 5 stars, because if you can't give something this good 5 stars, then you will never give anything 5 stars. Or "the Trooper". The production quality is excellent, great tones. That incredible Maiden harmonization is running ramped through this whole cd. This is what it's all about. No weak tracks. These songs are legends that will live on. I just can't believe i never heard the song "Revelations" until i bought this cd. It's my new favorite Iron Maiden track. The bassline in it bring tears to my eyes. Yes i said it. You heard me. Revelations just makes me think about my past and all the trials and tribulations i've been through. I hope it does the same for you, if not, then you must be tone def. Pop this cd in and i can guarantee there will be a huge smile on your face instantly. . Peace of Mind Two Minutes to Midnight, Run to the Hills, and The Number of the Beast. I hate to admit this, but I've only heard 3 Iron Maiden songs before. This is the first album I have listened to by the band and I am stunned. Every single solitary song on this thing is rocking! All the songs are catchy, each song well played; Their lyrics are very cool and shockingly intelligent. The band consists of (although anyone reading this probably already knows this) vocalist Bruce Dickinson; guitarists Dave Murray & Adrian Smith; bassist Steve Harris; and drummer Nicko McBrain. Besides the lyrics, the songs are driven by Dickinson's screeching vocals. Dickinson is a true vocalist, this guy can belt it out, he's right up there with Geoff Tate and Rob Halford. Murray & Smith are the best dueling guitar players this side of Glenn Tipton & KK Downing. Harris and McBrain fill out the rhythm section nicely. So, as I said I've never heard any other album (including what is called their masterpiece "The Number of the Beast") but I highly recommend any rock fan buy this CD. It's really really good. Here are the tracks and my grade: 1. Where Eagles Dare-5/5-The lyricism is very smart and the song rocks. 2. Revelations-5/5-This song is written by Bruce Dickinson and isn't as good as the previous song; but the guitar solos rock. 3. Flight of Icarus-5/5-This song is awesome too, it's better than the last song. Although, what's with the Eagle theme? 4. Die With Your Boots On-5/5-"If you're gonna die, die with your boots on. " This song is totally cool. 5. The Trooper-5/5-Again, here the lyricism is very smart. This is one of my favorite songs on here. 6. Still Life-5/5-This song is great; the guitar solo stands out the most. 7. Quest for Fire-5/5-This songs lyrics are like a history lesson, but it's a great song. 8. Sun and Steel-5/5-This is probably my favorite song on here. The chorus is very catchy and cool. 9. To Tame a Land-5/5-And the album closes with a worthy track. GRADE: A+ .
