Voice of an Angel Its amazing. What a voice!!!!
If you know what Michael sounded in his youngest years, buy this.
It's surprising complex listening
He was the King of Pop, an American Legend; who touched the World. Haughting and mysterious are the feelings listening to Michael knowing so much his suffering life's outcome. .
Flawless Music, Packaging Less so
The inclusion of the non-overdubbed (and some previously unreleased) versions of tracks from 'Farewell My Summer Love' goes some way to make up for these omissions. This is definitely the most comprehensive collection of Michael's Motown output, only lacking a few tracks such as the 1987 remixes of 'Twenty-Five Miles' and 'You've Got A Friend' found on 'Original Soul', the original 1972/1973 versions of tracks found on 'Looking Back To Yesterday', and 'Make Tonight All Mine' found on 'One Day In Your Life'. However, this collection will always fail to get 5/5 simply because of its packaging - in common with other reviewers, the third CD was stuck in its slot, and was impossible to remove without scratching. Fortunately it still plays fine, and all three have been treated to plastic sleeves, but this will annoy the very purchasers of this collection, as the majority are likely to be life long fans, who may well be duplicating albums to replace them with a definitive collection of pristine freshly re-mastered CDs. .
The way we like to remember him
This box set contains each of MJ's solo albums recorded for Motown, prior to his big solo breakthrough with "Off The Wall". Highly recommended for fans of the early Jackson 5ive, back when Michael was still a cute, amazingly talented kid. These albums were released concurrently with the Jackson 5ive albums of the early to mid '70s, and are just as catchy and entertaining. Has all the early solo hits like "Ben", "Got To Be There", and "Rockin' Robin", as well as fantastic cover versions of songs like "Ain't No Sunshine", and several Stevie Wonder songs. .
Excellent CD set
It includes all 4 solo Motown albums and bonus tracks. This is a fantastic set of Michael's Motown solo material. It comes in a book type case and includes nice pictures of Michael from the 70's. The only thing I didn't like about it was the sleeves wbere the CD's are stored in the back. They were a little hard to remove the first time but once you take them out a few times they are easier to get out. Great collection of music! Get it!! .
