Jefferson Starship newcomers should start here
Featuring members such as Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, Mickey Thomas and David Freiberg, they produced some classic pop rock throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Jefferson Starship's music is legendary. And, their music is simply incredible.

Featuring former members of the legendary 1960s group Jefferson Airplane, you get 12 essential Jefferson Starship tracks on this set in RCA's series 'Platinum & Gold Collection. '

'Jane,' 'Ride The Tiger,' 'Stranger,' and 'Miracles are all here on this set for your listening pleasure. And, the sound quality is excellent!

You also get album tracks and fan favorites, such as 'Hot Water,' which features great vocals from Slick.

So if you're new to Jefferson Starship, do check this set out. You'll get your money's worth with this set. Highly recommended. ENJOY!!!.

not too bad a sampler, but omits several hits
Yet each one comes up short of actual hits in favor of a mix of hit singles and album tracks. Well at least the "BMG Heritage" series did it right when it put out three seperate discs one for each phase of the band's lifespan. This one omits "With Your Love"(1976), "Find Your Way Back"(1981) and "Be My Lady"(1982), and instead substitutes them with lesser-known or non-hit tracks like "Hot Water" and "Freedom at Point Zero"?.
