Beats what's called Country today
Fans will note that there may be a couple of essential songs omitted, but it's still the best single disc comp. It's a great place for anyone trying to get into Waylon to start. Warning: If you start with this comp, you will not end here as you will find yourself wanted the actual albums in full, especially anything from the 70's which is as good as it gets for country music. Right up there with The Man in Black.

Great voice! Listening makes me "want to sell my diamond rings and buy boots and faded jeans!". This is my first purchase of a "Walon Jennings CD" was very pleased with the songs and the good clear quality. Highly recommend this one, enjoy.

Waylon would be proud!
His disdain for the country music establishment was also legend and the CMA seemed to delight in making his later years as uncomfortable as possible. Waylon Jennings,a protege' of Buddy Holly and a legend in his own right, was a proud man. How, then, did this collection slip through? If you are new to country music or want to know more about the Waylon Jennings sound, buy this CD! It's the best single disc collection I've come across since "Ol Waylon" left us. You won't be sorry.
