good, solid entertainment TUMBLEDOWN is my favorite of the bunch, and although FAR GONE AND OUT is the "hit", it's still a pop tune in the classic sense of the genre; despite what anyone might argue, JAMC were always a pop band in the vein of the Ramones or the VU. I bought this in 1992 when Nirvana were kings, and I recall this getting mediocre reviews, but for my money HONEY'S DEAD was good then, and still holds up today. .
Sound MUCH improved on BOTH the CD and DVD sides!!
Originally released in 1992, this release is the JAMC's most intense, searing album, opening with one of their greatest-ever singles, Reverence. First of all, this is a 5 star album to begin with. The Dual Disc improves the CD sound, and the sound is even better on the DVD side. The 3 videos on the DVD side are all really good, especially Reverence. There is a JAMC video collection on VHS tape, but it is now out-of-print. It is notable that the 3 videos here are NOT on that video collection. This is a MUST for ALL JAMC fans!!!.
