An EXCELLENT Rock work... But the "ENHANCED" CD version sucks...!!!!
This girl REALLY ROCKS! The music on this album is good, very good Real ROCK!!! I like it as much as Pat Benatar's, Crissie Hynde of The Pretenders, or even Debbie Harry from Blondie!
But. Back in the 80s, I heard "I Love Rock'n'Roll" by Joan Jett and got crazy for the song. . . The bad news is that the reissued "ENHANCED" version of this CD, will not play pretty well on older CD players (home/car/portable)!!! Therefore, if you want to get the same sound quality without the playing problems, I suggest you try on getting an older European issue (Germany-Holland-France) of this excellent album. . . Same good audio quality, no reproduction problems at all!!! .


You have to understand
She is rock. Joan jett is the female chuck berry and the big bopper rolled into one. Love or hate her, never in the history of rock has there ever been a guitarist (let alone a singer song-writer, and yes she has surpased her inspiration susie q) who has lasted this long. Even the beatles didn't last 30 years. I love rock n roll is now an anthem for kids all over the world for all time. We owe her a debt that can never be repaid. It is our freedom and our honor to say- I LOVE ROCK N ROLL.

Well, this is an awesome album. It used to be that Rock and Roll music had strict frontiers. Joan Jett, a singer and songwriter has set a new standard for Rock and Roll music. No big hair and no scary make up. This is NOT your big brothers Rock and Roll music.

Joan Jett's songs and her special way of singing them has reached an enormous world wide audience who have discovered a unique talent who creates a sound all her own.

Real Rock and Roll
I immediately thought, "This is a classic. I first heard "I Love Rock and Roll" on the radio while driving around Austin, Texas in, I think, 1982. " It is. One of the greatest rock songs ever. Joan Jett is still around, but I don't think she gets nearly enough credit for how great her work was in the early 80's. This album is a must have for any Rock library.
