A marriage of smart and mellow
It is a quiet little gem. This collection of songs has an easy-going, laid-back feel that belies the sophistication of its song-writing and performances.

"Banana Pancakes" is the nearly perfect song. It has a solid structure while at the same time feeling rather unstructured and spontaneous, as though Jack is just poking his sleepy head out from under the blankets and exhorting his lover to sleep-in with him on a work day: "Pretend like it's the weekend. . . We can pretend it all the time. "
.

In Between Dreams
An excellent blend of harmony, classic guitar and melodic vocals that encapsulate senerity peace and a little comedy in Banana Pancakes, a real treat for JJ fans.

Great mellow listening
It has been on constant play since it arrived about 4 weeks ago and I have a 45 minute commute each way every day. My daughter introduced me to Jack Johnson while helping me select some new music for my ipod and I enjoyed it so much I decided to buy this CD for my car. I especially enjoy listening to it and mellowing out on the way home after a stressful day at work. The whole CD is great, but my favorite song is "Banana Pancakes" followed closely by "Better Together" and "Breakdown. " His music has an island feel, some words and references and as I love all things Hawaiian that's a bonus for me, but you don't need to know or love Hawaii to enjoy the CD. I also bought two more of this CD as gifts and the people I gave them to enjoy it as much as I do. I'll eventually buy another of his CD's for my car to mix it up a little, but right now there's no need as I'm enjoying this one way too much to look for anything more. If you know and like John Mayer or Jason Mraz you'll probably like Jack Johnson. If you don't know any of the newer, younger artists and are looking to branch out as I was, give him a try. .

lousy service
will call credit card company and dsipute charges for her and will probably not do business with AMazon either if these are the types of people you work with . The CD did not work e-mailed her told Her I was returning item no response have returned item and e-mailed repeatedly for response, replacement, etc no word from her .

One of his best
He is a great musician, he gets to the heart of what music should be. This is a stellar album, Jack Johnson is a one of a kind. You will find yourself singing along and tapping your feet. Johnson's music transcends generations, people of all ages will enjoy this album. If you like Simon & Garfunkel, Jim Croce, Phish, The Grateful Dead or any folk artists you will soon be adding Jack to your CD wallet.

If you haven't discovered Jack do yourself a favor and give him a listen, you will be a fan after just a few tracks. I'm off to have some Banana Pancakes. . . .
