Great musical arrangement Good lyrics. I Love the musical arrangements and beats on this album. Shows the artists concerns over present problems in the world. .
Just listen to him now!
It was well worth the 8-year wait to see and hear Howard return to his synth pop roots. I am one of HoJo's biggest fans and absolutely love this album. There is music for all of his fans on this album. It'll make you dance, smile, think and above all, appreciate his continued musical evolution.
There are some club bangers on this CD. Take a listen to "Celebrate Our Love", "Stir It Up" and my personal favourite, the title track. Some of the other reviewers have panned Howard's previous releases, like "People" and "In The Running". Those albums are just as good - they just lean a bit more towards the Adult Contemporary genre. Either way, it's all good. I just love hearing any material from Howard. Hey, he's making music for his fans. . . don't criticize him for it!
I'll be checking out his concert when he plays in Toronto on October 27. I'm hoping the live performances will be somewhat experimental and that we'll have the chance to see him play the synths once again. Whatever the case, I highly recommend this album for true HoJo fans and anyone else who may be curious about his discography. Enjoy.

All I can say is WOW
There's not one song to dislike and I find them all interesting & pleasing to listen to. This CD just proves what an amazing, inventive & creative musician HJ is. This is just one great CD full of soulful, upbeat and quirky pop music that really satisfies. 10 stars if I could!.
Amazing album
Overall it's pretty laid back, heavy on techno keyboards, and (thankfully) lacks any cheesy songs like "Tomorrow Is Now". I couldn't get very much into "People", but after 2 dozen listens I have to say this is his best album in a very long time, if not THE best album he's ever put out, including his stuff from the 80's. The tunes all flow together nicely and I don't ever find myself skipping any tracks.
I loved it, it was better than "Cats". I'm going to listen to it again, and again.
a real return to form .....
My ears tell me this is a real return to form for Howard Jones and bless his heart for it!! Sure, he's changed over the years, but then again, haven't we all?? His songs, of course, are going to reflect certain personal changes for Jones, too . I don't know what everyone else is bitching about here with opinions of wanting Jones to compose and record more "cutting edge" music and all, when this release suits the bill just fine for me. . . . so let's allow it, okay??
You go, Howard!! This is one hell of a release and I highly recommend it to any Ho-Jo fan. This is music to be RESPECTED!.
