janis' greatest hits
a couple of her hits r missing but you'll listen 2 these songs 4 the rest of your life. this is janis at her bluesy butt kickin best. . . guaranteed.


Horrible singer.. stick with Carrie Underwood
I was at the CD store looking to see if the new American Idol compilation CD was out yet. but it wasn't. :( The sales associate asked me if I needed help finding anything else. I asked for a good CD by a female vocalist and he suggested Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits. The album cover looked stupid, she looks like an old hippie man posing on a motorcycle. I bought it anyway since it was pretty cheap and was willing to give it a shot. Once I put it in my CD player I was blown away!! Not blown away at how good it was, but blown away and appalled by how bad it was. Janis can NOT sing for her life, she sounds like a screeching weasel and she's ugly, all singers should be attractive since image matters. While you're at it skip Fleetwood Mac, Patsy Cline, Tori Amos, Blondie, Heart, Joni Mitchell and Patti Smith.

cd was in such poor condition it would not download to Itunes, I had to wash the cd to get something the color of cola off of it.


Janis at Her Best With "Big Brother & the Holding Co.", "Full Tilt Boogie Band" & the "Cosmic Blues Band" = Outstanding Janis!!!
The sound of her "soulful", "blues" voice is still amazing after all these years. This is an outstanding greatest hits cd showcasing Janis at her best, with 3 different bands. There may be other blues vocalist, but there will never be another Janis. This is the very best of the "Texas Tornado" herself, from Port Aurther, Texas.
