Customer Review Kanno shines, as usual... The vocal tracks are also dead on- more stuff from Mai Yamane and Steve Conte that will undoubtedly *stick* in the minds of fans. Future Blues is eclectic and ambient, and often gives off a feeling of being inspired by the best BGM selections of the Cowboy Bebop series. ("Pushing the Sky" is stellar. . . Mai Yamane is so great. . . ) Perhaps the only area that the album fails however is its first track, "Open 24Hours. " While it would have been great as a creepy opening track for the album, it loses all credibility as the sound effects (gunfire coupled with screaming) just sound too. . . fake. . . Aside from that minor disappointment though, the album is most definitely worth it. .
