Customer Reviews Katatonia - My Twin You get here four tracks: "My Twin (Single Edit Version)", is just the same version as in the album and it's not edited at all. Little else can be said about this release regarding "The Great Cold Distance", so let's make it quick. "My Twin (Opium Dub Version)", is an electronic remix, which surprisingly keeps intact the song's essence, not ruining it at all, which is more of what you could expect in these cases (it doesn't add anything new to the song, though). "Displaced" and "Dissolving Bonds" are two tracks off "The Great Cold Distance" sessions that got reduced to b-side only because they are the two which strayed more off the overall direction of the album, style-wise speaking, because for the rest they are as good as the others and keep the same atmosphere. So, this single is a worthy complement of the album, and anyone into it should give a listen to this too. great cd single it's a song thats definlty different from any other song they have done. well i was going to wait until the album was released on april 4th after seeing the video my twin on katatonia web site i had to buy this cd single, and it's definlty katatonia, iam not dissapointed at all, it's hard to describe the song my twin it has it's on unique sound. my twin(opium dub version) is also great it's different from the original version, so your not hearing the same song twice the other 2 songs are great also. it amazes me this band can't run out of ideas. guess we will see when the album comes out. A taste of what's to come i have been listening to the song(and watching the video) " My Twin" on their website while i wait for the new album to come out and i decided to go ahead and get this. I am relatively new to Katatonia, but they have quickly become my favorite band. I am not dissapointed in the least. All four tracks are great. the opium dub version of "my twin" is definately the standout track to me (and to think i almost wrote it off!) this is a must have for katatonia fans as the last two tracks won't be on the album (nor will the opium dub for that matter) this is the band every one should be listening to. with the right push behind them they would be HUGE here in the states. that's my opinion anyways. .
