Customer Reviews Well titled Obviously, I like the guy. I purchased a number of Lanza's albums in the lp era, both operatic and lighter music. This disc is exactly what the title says--a sampling of his greatest hits. I cannot give this a five star rating, because of his swooping technique, sliding from one note to the next instead of hitting it head on. And his substitution of the short "a" vowel for the short "e" ("naver" for "never," and "mammaries" for "memories"--sounds lactose, doesn't it?). But I will put up with those shortcomings in exchange for his ringing high notes. While Lanza usually belts it out, "Golden Days" shows that he can sing softly--and beautifully. I wish he had done more of this. Anyway, I will continue to enjoy this recording, and the others in my library. .
