The Music of The Steve Kimock band is tough to describe, but, here goes a brief explanation of this Show, Recorded in Englewood, Co. on: 30 Dec 2003.
It begins with Steve's Guitar, Floating in gently, as being Awakened from a Dream and at 4:10 he Slides into: "Severe Tire Damage" that ZERO Classic. Things build at a Gentle Pace and the Band Melts into One Being. There are lot's of Explorations Right from the Start, Everybody finds an Area for their Solo Spots, The Band is Free & Loose BUT Tight all at the Same Time. "Bad Hair" has a Mighty Groove and is over all too soon, Then it's "Life of the Party", hands down, this is my Favorite Track on the First Disc, 'Party' has lot's of Changes Built in, and Each One is Better than What came Before, This Track Picks Me up & Transports me Somewhere on Every Listen, Pure SKB Magic. "Brother Mike", comes next, and it's an Reflective piece of Music, And it's here where I Saw My Vision of the Three guitars of the Band, being held by Six Arms, Six Hands, All attached to the SAME BODY !!! Steve, Mitch & Alphonsio are all LOCKED-IN, as One MIGHTY BEAST, Another Transportation, to Somewhere else in the Galaxy, Nice. Last up is "Samba", which begins with a brief Drum Solo, The Band heads off into deep Space for awhile until they find the 'Samba' groove at about 5:38 into the Piece, This Cut Features some Tasty Pedal Steel/Slide Playing, Again, many Moods are Explored within this one Tune, and it's a Fine Finish for Disc One.

Disc Two Opens with "Storm Crow" with Steve, Right outta the Gate, Taking Things Off to Somewhere Far, Far Away, Also of note here is Rodney Holmes on Drums, He is Waaay on top of this One, a fine Journey to the Cosmos. Next Up is "Long Form" with some Crunchy Chords & Soaring Slide Guitar and this is Long Track at 20 Minutes. Many Peaks & Valleys are visited by this Fine Band with a Mighty Climax thrown in as well. "Elmer's" has a Soothing Grove with Jim Kost on Keyboards trading riffs with Steve Throughout the number. "Electric Wildlife", is my Favorite track on Disc Two, It's Up-Tempo Melody Fits it's Title Well. The Guitars are Unleased here and it's undeed 'Wild', and Quite a Ride, WHEW. And last up is "Avalon" with it's Firestorm of Drums to Start it up, it then settles into the Main Theme, with lot's of room for Steve to Stretch Out, Power Chords and Heavy Riffing Explode outta this Number as it Builds & Builds and then. . . FINI

"Live in Colorado, Vol 2" is a fine addittion to the Zero/SKB Recordings already out there for Purchase. I have enjoyed Steve's Music since the Late 80's, and Have enjoyed many Fine nights (6 Shows, so far) of this Great Music over the Past Twenty Years, Let's keep Goin'. . .
OF COURSE IT'S FIVE STARS. . .
.
