More than enuff of the King
This stuff gets old fast and starts to give one a headache. This is all the King Diamond you really need, and more than you can probably tollerate. He screams, sings so high only dogs can hear him, you cant understand most of the words, I've heard the lyrics are hokey about a lost jewlery or something haunted, but not scary because you cant understand the words. However, used it is worth $4. 00 just to get No Presents fo Christmas. What an awsome song. Abigail gives me a headache.

The kings best!
When you have a compilation with King Diamonds best and Mercyful Fates best, you have a winner!Witha cover by legendary artist Andreas Marschal(Kreator,Obituary,Sodom).

good collection
it was a good pick up when it came out for me because the local record stores didnt have the mercyful fate cds in stock and listening to them on warped tapes was th eonly way for me to hear them. this is a split best of cd. but in 2008 only a die hard who has to have everything will need this cd in their collection. but with a pretty solid song selection its a great listen.

GREAT KING DIAMOND / MERCYFUL FATE ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!
This is also a TERRIFIC place to start if you NEW to either band and Cannot decide where to start,This album is a great introduction to 2 AMAZING bands!!!Some GREAT highlights of this album include: Tracks: #3 "EVIL" and #5 "DANGEROUS MEETING" (both done by King Diamond with Mercyful Fate) also tracks: #10 "HALLOWEEN" and #14 "WELCOME HOME" ( both from King Diamond's Solo material). This IS a great album if you are a Mercyful Fate / King Diamond fan and can't decide which one their albums to listen to!( they are all FANTASTIC!!). Both Bands are INCREDIBLE!! and I really don't think you will be dissapointed with this purchase. Really the ONLY negative thing I can personally think of is as some other reviewers had earlier stated: No "SATANS FALL" ( which is a TERRIFIC Mercyful Fate song!!) and would have really went well on this album. I really enjoy this album from start to finish and I think YOU will too!! LONG LIVE THE KING!!!and LONG LIVE METAL!!!(PS:) The overall production on this album is ALSO really GOOD!! and Don't forget to check out Meryful Fate and King Diamond's other great albums!! ( THEY ALL ARE TERRIFIC!!).

Great Album, but is it really a Greatest Hits Compilation???
It is a Greatest Hits Album of old Mercyful Fate and King Diamond(1982-1990). This is not a bad album. It consists of 7 Mercyful Fate songs and 9 King Diamond songs. It covers 7 albums and 1 4 song E. P. Now my only problem with this is I do not agree with some of the song selections. For one thing where is "Satan's Fall" and "Black Funeral". For starters those were the best Mercyful Fate songs ever. I also do not think "Gypsy" should be on here. It was really not that great of a song. "The Oath" should be on here instead. "The Candle dosen't deserve its spot either and neither dose "Abigail". "The Family Ghost" should relace those. Oh well here is an analysis of the album:

1. Doomed By The Living Dead-Good song. It is fast paced and has some good vocals(and profanity). Released on "Nuns Have No Fun E. P. "(1982)

2. A Corpse Without Soul-Another good song! It's kind of long but who cares. It dose have some awesome drumming by Kim Ruzz, and great vocals by King Diamond. Released on "Nuns Have No Fun E. P. "(1982)

3. Evil-Excellent song. The production is not the best but it will do. "I love to hear you cry, I love to see you die" Released on "Melissa"(1983)

4. Curse Of The Pharaohs-Good song too. Again the production is not where it should be. Also this song dosen't really fit in. It's just about some Egypt stuff. Oh well it still rocks. Released on "Melissa"(1983)

5. A Dangerous Meeting-Very heavy riffing. Being the title track this has to be a good song and it dose live up to its expectations. One of my favorites. Released on "Don't Break The Oath"(1985)

6. Gypsy-O. K. song. It definetly should not be on here. "The Oath" really desereved this spot because that song rocks. Not "Gypsy". Well I guess Roadrunner music can't be perfect all the time. Released on "Don't Break The Oath"(1985)

7. Come To The Sabbath-Excellent song. It has some of the best rhythm ever. Also has some very pretty harpsicord. Released on "Dont Break The Oath"(1985)

8. The Candle-Very, Very Eire song. I Thought it was incredibly weird. I also didn't think it was that great of a song. "The Jonah" should have been on here instead. Released on "Fatal Portrait"(1986)

9. Charon-Dynamite song. It is moderately paced and has great vocal attempts. "Welcome My Friend, My Name is CHARON!" Released on "Fatal Portrait"(1986)

10. Halloween-Weird song. It does deserve to be on here. "Oh its HALLOWEEN" It is heavy and has a great vocal attmept. Released on "Fatal Portrait"(1986)

11. No Presents For Christmas-Funny. It is sort of a fun-making song of christmas comercialism. It also shows King Diamonds humorous side. Released as a single and as a bonus track on "Fatal Portrait"(1986)

12. Arrival-Being the intro song to "Abigail" it has to be a good song and it is. Has good guitar by Andy La Roque, and Michael Denner. Released on "Abigail"(1987)

13. Abigail-I wasn't all impressed with this song. It just dosn't suit my taste. They should have gone with "The Family Ghost" instead. Released on "Abigail"(1987)

14. Welcome Home-Nice drumming intro. Starts off the album which tells the story about an evil Grandmother. Good guitar work by Pete Blakk also. Released on "Them"(1988)

15. Sleepless Nights-Not so great, although I see why they put this on, because if they didn't there would be nothing from this album. That was kind of cheap though. Released on "Conspiracy"(1989)

16. Eye Of The Witch-Excellent keyboarding by King Diamond. This also has some good vocals. The production however wasn't the best. Released on "The Eye"(1990)

All in all this is a "sort-of" Greatest hits compilation to old Mercyful Fate/King Diamond and it is a respectful collection.
