This album's no cookie cutter
If you don't know who Kings of Leon are yet, please buy this album! Or Only By The Night which is also amazing. I love it as always.


Very interesting, deep record
I picked it up and the first time through, was kind of confused by the whole thing. A friend of mine recommended this CD to me after I heard the song "Arizona" and loved it. There aren't really too many instantly "catchy" songs on it, and after one listen, I actually kind of wrote it off. Then I was forced to make a long trip in my car and brought this along just because it was still "new music" to me. I threw it in for the ride down and kind of let it soak in the background. What a revelation. I find this CD is one of the CDs I can't listen to if I'm short on time, because it's not that type of music. There are so many different parts to every song with so many interesting layers, that it doesn't seem to be appreciated with a superficial listen. There are so many catchy parts of so many different songs, I often find myself humming something from it, and am not even sure what song it belongs to. Like the part about 2:10 into "Charmer". Just a great CD all around.

If you are reading this and for some reason are still on the fence about getting it, just get it. These guys (to my limited musical knowledge) are original, creative musicians and even if you don't love it like I do, I think you'll still end up respecting what they've done here. .


LOVED IT!
A BAND THAT HAS A GREAT CD, NOT JUST ONE OR TWO SONGS. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE ALBUM BY THE KINGS OF LEON. BUT CHECK OUT ALSO ALL THEIR CDS, THEY ARE SO GOOD.


Knocked up... wow!
I can replay this 7+ minute (thank goodness!) intoxicating tune all day and not get tired of it. Just because I really think that Knocked Up is one of the best songs of this decade, I give the album 5 stars.
I also love True Love Way and Ragoo. These songs make me want to dance and jump; it's really that good to me, totally energizing.

I'm just really getting to know KoL better, so I'm no expert and I'm not pretending this album is better, or not as good than the ones before it. I'm just taking it on its own, and it makes me want to listen to them more. . .

Great sounds from a great band
Great tracks! . I loved their first two albums more but this album, the guys from Kings of Leon show they are growing up.
