General Army But I'm bias I have a
KISS fan as long as I can remember. This is a album that was not released in the US but as some good songs & some new ones. .
kiss killers cd
you have to be a kiss fan. its a great cd with eric carr on drums.
The Foreign KISS Blend
The four new tracks are good, but they broke away from the "remixing" work on "Double Platinum". This is KISS' first compilation album that wasn't released in the US. For this, they get a five. The only way I could be happier is if I had received the Japanese version of the CD, which also had "Shandi" and "Escape from the Island".
Which version do you want?
But there are too many versions of this album. OK, so this album was once upon a time the collector's dream. There is the original European vesion. . . Then there is the German version with alternate ZZ's, then there is the Japanese version which includes "Shandi" and "Escape From The Island" (which was unavailable in Japan at the time) and the Aussie vesion with "Talk To Me". . . WHEW!! Anyway. . . the only reason this CD is worth getting is this:
1. This album is the only album you can find the song "Down On Your Knees".
2. This is the only album you can find the ORIGINAL mix of "Partners In Crime". All the singles featuring this song contained a remix version even though it does not state that it is a remix.
3. This is the only album you can find the single mix of "Shout It Out Loud".
4. This is the only album you can find the single mix of "I Was Made For Lovin' You".
So if you are a die hard then this is the CD for you. But be aware that you can find excellent remasterd versions of "I'm A Legend Tonight" and "Nowhere To Run" on the KISS GOLD compilation as well.
Also of note the KISS BOX SET features a remix version of "Nowhere To Run"!!
You may love KISS or you may hate KISS. . . But one thing's for sure and that is you have owned KISS in one shape or form. . .
.
Would Be Better Remastered
Excluding the four new songs, the songs are some of the best. This is possibly the best compilation album released by KISS. It's a shame that Strutter wasn't on there. Also, there were no songs from Hotter Than Hell on the CD. There's another version that has two other tracks on it. The other tracks are only available on the band's official website. The live version of Rock & Roll All Night could've been better, especially since the lyrics were screwed up in the sleeve.
