Can't pick a favorite track
I loved this soundtrack back then, and I love it now--no sampling or cheesy vocal effects to water-down the end product, just great, solid, soulful songwriting and stirring, emotive vocals. I saw this movie with my family when I was 6. The music was certainly fitting for the movie, but it also stands on its own.

I'm having difficulty locating the soundtrack on CD; I see that Amazon has it but I am trying to purchase it at a lower cost. I am a HUGE fan of both the movie & soundtrack. This music captures the spirit of this wonderful movie as well as the era it was created!. RCA/Legacy has just re-released this CLASSIC, PHENOMINAL album at last! Thanks for listening to the people.


Timeless Classic
Gladys Night and the Pips orchestrated by Curtis Mayfield is a timeless classic. This soundtrack is pure soulful genius. I loved the movie Claudine and I love my CD. This is truly the best soundtrack ever produced the vocals, the music, and the harmonies is truly a masterpiece. As I played the CD, tears formed in my eyes, I could feel the music and the words that Gladys song as if a wise sermon. It brought me back to a time when life was simple and r&b music was inspiring. I love every song on this soundtrack including Claudine Theme. I am so pleased that it can be purchased on Amazon. com and I highly recommend it to all those Claudine fans. .
