PERFECT IDIOCY In 1984 he described the urban proletariat as listning mindlessly to monosyllabic anlo-saxon shreds of old love songs. George Orwell was wrong. Didn't work out that way. Now its like ABBA, for a good comparison. Twinkle treacle. But the Germans -- with terrific cleverness and ingenuity -- have done one better and with THE MIX they triumph. If you need rhythmic repetition and mini-lyrics to keep you moving in many mindless, repetitive patterns -- like disco flirting -- this is it.
Takes me back to a time when I worked on a boat in the arctic freezing and packing fish and crabs. We worked long, hard hours in intense sub-zero cold, and to keep us moving and, I guess, awake, they blasted us hour after hour with Alanis Morisette's gibberish. Horrible!
But I'm easy to get along with. Whirl to WE ARE THE ROBOTS! Twirl to I AM THE OPERATOR WITH MY POCKET CALCULATOR! We've only just had MAMA MIA (the utterly synthetic musical) and now we can expect, what? PAPA SUA?
Dance! Dance! Vesuvius may be about to blow!.
Creativity On Hold
Ostensibly to get the songs "completely digital" with no troublesome "noise. After ejecting Karl Bartos and Wolfgang Flur from the band, Ralf & Florian made a cover album of their past career. " Some of these tracks are slightly different from the originals. Others are dramatically different. All but two of these are weaker than the originals, but "Computerlove" and especially "Radioactivity" are so much stronger than the original versions that it barely justified the whole exercise in my opinion. The big disappointment is the cute version of their seminal "Autobahn. " A wondrous track has been seriously undermined here. But ultimately, this project was worth it to me just to hear how "Radioactivity" had been tremendously overhauled.
A solid compilation
It furnishes 11 compositions, and all of them have something to offer. The Mix is a compilation from Kraftwerk that was released in 1991. The sound quality of this album is remarkable; it is clean and dynamic. I also like the pulsating beats. The music is vibrant, precise, creative, and serious. "Trans Europe Express," "Abzug," and "Metal on Metal" are my favorite pieces. The sharp-sounding, commanding "Trans Europe Express" sports some absorbing synthesizer melodies. The CD is just over 65 minutes. The Mix is a satisfying electronic music compilation, and I recommend it. .
Superb Music !!
Excellent quality of music. Superb Condition. Perfect packing and forwarding. Got in perfect condition. Cheers. . Recommendable to others defenitely !!.
Better version of previous songs, and more UPBEAT
All of the songs on this CD can be considered "best hits" except that they have been made more upbeat, better recorded (clear) and the pluse loud. Kraftwerk made good music better with this THE MIX cd. If you need a sampler of Kraftwerk music, this is the place to start. The songs play well on headphones, and you can dance to them.
Although the selection is a sample of prior version, they did a good job.
