PETER'S CHRISTMAS: ET CETERA, ET CETERA
In step with his former band mates, Peter Cetera released this holiday album in 2004, just one year after Chicago released it's expanded version of Chicago XXV called "What's it Gonna be, Santa?"

Keeping up with the Jones. . er. . . Lamm's ? Perhaps. Or not at all.

What Peter brings us is a great holiday album that hits all the right notes, with a few that have a great rock sound and many that are a bit more mellow in the typical Peter Cetera solo sense. Since the yuletide music that fills this festive time of year is usually on the mellow side (traditional or not), it's a great album that is perfect for a holiday cocktail party and your Christmas playlist. Much of the album is on the softer side, but he has quite a voice which the casual Christmas listener shouldn't mind. The two final songs are Cetera's own are great and certainly round out this album nicely.

If you are tired of hearing some radio stations constantly play the current "artists" taking a stab at the holiday trend or hearing about how a certain relative was stampeded by an animal in the snow for the 854th time in your life, this CD should easily find it's way into your digital track listing or home stereo.

Christmas spirit!
Peter's voice is as strong as ever. Great take on some old standards, as well as some new christmas music. Add it to your collection.

A must for Peter Cetera fans
Some of the traditional songs are a bit slow for my liking but the titles that he composed himself are very good, addictive to say the least. It's a bit slow to start with but grows on you. His version of Jingle bells is a nice pleasant change. My favourite has got to be 'something that Santa Claus left behind' He should have released that as a single. It has pride of place on the shelf next to my copy of Chicago 25. This is a Christmas album which will be played every year. .

excellent xmas lp, no problems ripping to iTunes
nice collection to mix with my other xmas pop tunes. unlike other reviewers here, i had no problems ripping this cd.

Cetera rules!!!!
To see Peter perform some of these songs live was even better:) . I waited years and years for this!!! Peter did a great job not only re-working xmas songs everyone knows, but also coming up with new ones of his own.
