Excellent album, full of feeling Chantal isn't an Amos clone, though - she finds her ground quickly and offers a number of well formed tracks starting with the upbeat 'God Made Me' to those that convey greater emotion ('Surrounded', for example, talks about the real life suicide of a friend of hers). This debut album from Canadian Chantal Kreviazuk reminds one very much of 'Little Earthquakes' from Tori Amos; there's a powerful voice that can range from sultry to angst filled, There's well played piano present through the bulk of the tracks and there's really strong feeling in the lyrics and tone of the various songs. Wholly recommended for fans of strong female singers.

Great, sensative lyrics, but with a sense of humor as well. Wonderful album. Hell of a voice too.
