Italian Evanescence
That's not a bad thing, but it's far from fresh or original. This CD from Lacuna Coil sounds like Evanescence to me. It does have a slightly European flair in the rhythm that helps separate it from other manufactured goth-pop-rock. Overall a disappointment, because I heard a lot of hype about this band and album that's really nothing special.


Not as good as Comalies, but still fun and bombastic.
Metal babe and songstress Christina Scabbia's vocals compliment Andrea Ferro's more standard gutteral counterpoint, mixing the Gothic tones of The Gathering or The Mission UK with classic metal theatrics into a heavy yet accessible vision of headbangers bliss. "Karmacode" builds on where Lacuna Coil's 2002 breakout album "Comalies" left off and seems virtually guaranteed to bring the mainstream success they deserve. The songwriting never sacrifices melody for volume and even ups the arena-friendly production value to a fine polish.

Lead single "Our Truth" begins with a military snare riff, then brings Christina's amazing range together with a densely harmonized sing-along chorus. "Karmacode" ably demonstrates why Lacuna Coil are the reigning rulers of Goth Metal.


Karmacode Is A Must Have CD
Karmacode is one of my favorite cd's of all time. Karmacode is a little like In A Reverie, but with more edge. Karmacode just takes me away. You will play Karmacode over and over again. I don't get tired of listening to any Lacuna Coil cd. Karmacode is a great direction for Lacuna Coil to go in. The music Lacuna Coil makes is perfect. I can listen to Karmacode all day long without turning the cd off that's how great Karmacode is.

Lacuna Coil - Karmacode
Not as symphonic as Within Temptation, Tarja, or Epica. This is a good album. Great none the less!.


Karmacode rocks
It's basically metal like Korn but without the craziness. This is definitely my favorite album. Deep thought lyrics, hard and melodic. Great band.
