Just Beautiful

Awesome, awesome, music. . I wish I could find more slow moody jazz/blues/whatever it is from other sources.

O n btw, that is OBVIOUSLY Bono, not Mila, screeching in Satellite of Love. . . U can hear her laughing at his dumb ass lol.

Only for U2 fans
There are a couple really good songs on it but other than that. I am a big U2 fan and I don't really like this. . . not for the average listener.

Where's Waldo
that we have to be patient and listen, re-listen, and give the music a chance. I am an avid U2 fan and understand that as the band experiments, reinvents, pushes the envelope, etc. So it is with this record. But finding the U2 aspect of the soundtrack is a little like finding Where's Waldo. On some tracks its very obvious, on others its virtually impossible.

I'll keep listening but so far its a disappointment. .

Buy it for the Frisell stuff
Repeated listenings over the past 5 years has led me to the conclusion that the finest material on this album is the instrumental stuff comprised of the non-U2 groups. I bought this way back in 2000 for the U2 songs (in fact, I have still not even seen the film). Bill Frisell fans should pick this album up for sure, as a couple of songs he plays are breathtakingly beautiful.
Unfortunately, you'll have to skip over the song titled "Satellite of Love" because Milla screams and gargles over a good portion of it, leading me to cringe uncomfortably - I really like her in movies, but this vocal performance is sad and annoying.
But aside from that, the album is worth buying for the reasons I gave above.

In the night, under a full moon...
. . to relax with a good music!.
