Customer Review Wonderful pop songs. "Ascend to the stars", is raw and stripped down in comparison. When i first heard this cd i was unsure, because it lacks a lot of what "Angel youth" possessed as far as big string sections and two guitars. But this album has a lot that Angel youth does not, such as electronic beats and much more input from keyboards. The songs are much slower, a little like Mercuary Rev at times and it sounds less typically emo compared to Angel Youth, which can only be a good thing. One downside to this record is that Karl Larson does re-use lyrics from Angel Youth on "at your most beautiful". . . . "im sorry so damn sorry" but who cares, the track is amazing!! This albumn did seriously grow on me though!!give it time. you know youll like it, so just buy it. im bored now.
