Customer Review Evocative piano music Overall there is an old-style quality (delicateness and grace as well as a glimpse of village life) to the music. In Piano Music of Venezuela, Monique Duphil (who made her first piano debut in Paris at fifteen) captures the style and feelings behind the six composers represented in these works. Most of the composers were born in the mid to late 1800s. There is a dreamy quality to Sojo's work, a liveliness to Vollmer's. My particular favorites are the works of Palacios. This is an excellent CD. I am only sorry there isn't another DC of works by these artists to discover. .
