Customer Reviews Great Thematic Score, very ambient The theme track presented in track 1 is carried throughout the album with elements that appear in crucial scenes. Carter Burwell's Corruptor score is very ambient in nature, and uses a lot of Asian-inspired sounds and instruments. With respect to a great composer, the score has some great moments, however, some scenes have redundant sounds which are much more ambient in nature than thematic. . . an example of this are the percussion in some tracks which are nonstopping. This truly is a score to a movie and is particularly enjoyable to a fan of the film itself. I recommend seeing the film and then, if you are impressed, buy this album. BTW: The song "baby I'm so lonely. . . " in the movie, which many people keep asking about is by Alex To. crappy album All the songs I wanted from the movie are NOT on the soundtrack!. Must Hear It sucessfully incorporates both traditional oriental sounds with modern. This is a must hear motion picture score, espicially if you enjoy the oriental sound. Do not overlook both the music and the film, both are amazingly underrated, you wont regret buying this. .
