Customer Reviews Turn Your Radio On It's summertime in the '70s, you are heading for the beach in your Pontiac LeMans (or Chevy Malibu, or Dodge Charger), you roll down the windows to catch the warm breeze, turn up the radio and hear. . pretty much the songs on this CD. This is a nifty compilation of Top 40 hits that covers the Biggies ("Joy to the World," "Neither One of Us [Wants To Be the First To Say Goodbye]"), the Goodies ("Drift Away," "In the Summertime"), the Overlooked Fun Ones ("Jeans On," "Gimme Dat Ding") and a bunch of stuff in between. For those who experienced this era, this CD will whisk you back to a lightly hedonistic time before an oil crunch and a recession reminded us of The World Out There; for those who were barely aware or weren't born yet when these songs were hits, this collection may give you some idea of those times. Well selected and nicely remastered from the originals (this is important). Lotsa good stuff. (Oh, no, there's a cop. You'll get a ticket. ) (It's all right, it's just the end of "Indiana Wants Me. ") (Is that "Jackie Blue"? Turn it up. ) Getting there is half the fun. 70's top forty...
