It's alright, but nothing to write home about
I was in a funk of sorts at this time as I was bouncing back between Christian Rock, and Secular music. I used to have this album, but I only played "Great Big No". I sampled the rest of this album, and played "Great Big No" again to get reaquainted with the song. I found that this sounds alot like the Smithereens playing; which is a good thing because I like the Smithereens. I found after "Great Big No" it went into a slump of bad songs, and didn't pick up again until song #5. Then it went downwards with "Big Gay Heart", and after that it was alot of hit and miss. I wouldn't give up on the Lemonheads, but as far as this album I can safely say I wouldn't buy it again. Was this a rush job? who knows. I know if a group was rushed into doing an album the results could be disasterous. I used to have the Yardbirds's "Over Under Sideways Down", and they were only given a week to do the album, and the result was major disappointment, so I can see the same thing here with this album. A group shouldn't be rushed into doing a album, but at the same time don't take forever doing an album either. This is passible. .

Sweet then sour
. Highly uneven generic gen-x'ers start off unfairly hot with a smoking set of alternative rock, though by album's end can sound like a disc of b-sided throwaways.

The Last Great Lemonheads Album
Even though they came back with "Car Button Cloth," it was not as catchy as "Come On. "Come On Feel The Lemonheads" was their last great album. . . ".

This is a long-lost, out-of-print release from a forgotten band. I highly recommend it (even if it means getting it from second hand sellers).

It is unfortunate that not only this album, but the band itself has been thrown aside and fogotten by the mainstream. Shame on you hip hop lovers for ruining the music biz.

looking for a grandma friendly cd?
If ever a punk band's lead singer has been marketed as a "cute boy band type", then surely it is Evan Dando. Hate your friends, lick and creator are good cd's, but unfortunately it's a steep downhill fall for America's own Billy Idol of punk rock. As the cd's (come feel the lemonheads) get more mellow the image makeover go's into overdrive until every am radio station or tampon company comes calling to use his sensitive adult rock for marketing purposes. But let me put down my crystal ball for a moment. The problem with the pretty boy stuff is sooner than later it becomes like yesterdays newspaper, to be put at the bottom of bird cages or thrown out. My only first hand experience with Evan Dando was struggling to get a coke out of a coke machine before a gig, we failed. Evan probably has better luck with the ladies than I, but i sleep soundly knowing my art work isn't overtaking used cd shops at give away prices. Remember you can discount a crap cd. . . . . . . but it's still a crap cd.

Major Dissapointment
Although 'Into Your Arms' is pleasent, it's not worth buying the whole album for. "It's a Shame About Ray" showed the Lemonheads potential, potential that is saidly squandered with this (most likely hurried) follow-up. Save your money. If you want to try the Lemonheads, I suggest their earlier material.
