Acoustic
Too much of what is here are merely snippets of songs. Not sure what I was expecting when I bought this but, whatever it was, I didn't find it here. Looking at the time length of some of the tracks I knew that would be a reality. One review that I read highly recommended hearing the raw power of the acoustic version of "Cold Turkey". Unfortunately, I heard no power nor starkness in this version. I found it to be weak & Lennon's warbling voice quickly got on my nerves. And this was the song I was most looking forward to hear.

The version of "Working Class Hero" presented here is different than the original but reveals nothing new. "Love" is different than the original being based on an acoustic guitar rather than a piano; being a guitarist myself I can appreciate this. It's the way I've almost always performed it myself. "Imagine" is also presented as an acoustic guitar piece, once again, it does present a pleasant difference, the basic beauty of the song shines through elegantly.

There are a few other songs performed live here as "Imagine" was done but there aren't any major revelations involved on this CD. It's basically somebody, & because I don't know who exactly so I won't mention any names or companies, ripping us off a few dollars all in the name of John Lennon. And let's be honest, John Lennon was apparently one of the most straightforward & honest people in the business. Be he saint or sinner I don't think he would've approved of this sham being released while he was alive.

Kirk Rogers
com, I rate them A+++. An incredible concert, he should have done 5-6 more, Great product delivered on time, Great merchant an asset to Amazon.

Never should have been released
Most of the songs on here are home recordings that should never have been released as an official CD. Ok, the quality on this album is really really bad. I can understand releasing this for free so the hardcore fans could hear it. This is at best a bootleg quality recording except they are charging full price and acting like it is professionally done. Which is a complete shame. They tried to "improve" the quality of the home recordings and all it did was turn the recording into a really strange tinny, unnatural sound. The is barrel scraping and money grubbing at its worst. DO NOT BUY. .

Horrible, just HORRIBLE
John is turning over in his grave!
Yoko must be running out of money to release this one!.
