For the thoughtful and heavy hearted...
alums, lies Who we Are; possibly the best album released in 2007 segued from a maturing self-titled Lifehouse. From an outlook of 2007, through a stretch of similar music of melodic resonance entwined with other great rock/alt.

Whether this album truly deserves five stars (because I know someone is thinking I'm just a person who loves Lifehouse) should not be debated in regard to rating truly great music. If you just think Lifehouse is great because you heard them on the radio a couple of times, try listening to the lyrics closely (and don't automatically give it a "five"). Any real Lifehouse fans knows of Jason Wade[lead singer]'s deep lyrics from his religious background and feelings toward life. In No Name Face and Stanley Climbfall came the young group eager to express; and I know everyone has heard "Hanging On A Moment". The sounds of this album seem to come more directly from earlier works then from the self-titled Lifehouse (possibly too slow, at least for me). Highlighting the stronger sound of Who We Are comes songs you've heard, First Time and Whatever It Takes; though I believe the best music comes from a deep and intricate "Storm" and "The Joke", with slower verses ascending to an upbeat chorus, emphasizing the extremities of Jason Wade's voice. I bought this the day it was released, solely from my interest in their previous album. Yet I found an outstanding sounding rock album; which should not be passed without a listen.

In regard to similar sounding albums, I was referring to a new sounding (happy, really) Matchbox Twenty, no "If You're Gone" in this one, and a very mature sounding Tom DeLonge in A&A (album: I-Empire), a must-listen for true blink-182 fans.

Great sound, easy to listen to over and over. This band should be more popular.
