Thank you, Gordon, for all these years.

I've listened to it every fall for over 20 years. This stands the test of time.
No other album can take me to a different world like Sundown.
I own a lot of music, but this is the only one where I want to listen to every song, every year.
I just wish I could thank Lightfoot for what this album has meant to me.

The very best
Of course my ranting here is strictly of a personal nature. To me this is the best album Gordon ever turned out. this record came at e very tumultuous time for me.
It seemed as though more than a few of the songs came true. Seven Island suite seemed to be the very standout song. Anyone Home, the Watchmans Gone and Carefree Highway are to true to be true, in my life.
Anyway there it is for better or worse. . . . . . . . . . . Listen to the songs and you will have a picture, in a way, of one mans life. However anonymous it may be. W. A. Looker

A brilliant sunset accompanies Sundown
Simply stated, this CD is an amazing masterpiece from an amazing singer-songwriter. Easily one of the most important CD's from the 1970's, any serious music collection is incomplete if this CD is excluded. .
