The True "Best Feat" AlbumW
Forget the compilations and buy the individual titles from the eponymous first realease through "Time Loves A Hero", and if you need a compilation, "Waiting For Columbus". Why is it that everybody seems to forget "Dixie Chicken"? Track for track, this is the penultimate Little Feat album, the only criterion being that you can start out with Track 1(Dixie Chicken), and let it go to the end with every song being memorable.

Wow!, its deja vu all over again.
There are several good songs missing on this compilation, like "rock n roll doctor" and "spanish moon". I haven't heard any little feat in 20 years, when I got to "willin" on the playlist it blew me away!. The truth is, this CD makes me want to get all the old little feat songs. Great music, instrumentals, lyrics, and vocals. Too bad lowell george couldn't stick around longer.

Unbelievable music, no matter what songs are on there
I was a lukewarm Little Feat fan many years ago and had since forgot about them since I don't play my record albums as much as I used to. Sorry, guys. This collection has all of MY favorites on it and lots of other great songs that are new to me. Someone who is new to Little Feat will also appreciate all the songs here and will investigate further. Get over it and enjoy their music. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS ALBUM!
.

Could Have Been Better
Quite a lot of songs that represent Little Feat are not included. I have to agree with the other reviewers about this best of. 'Rock And Roll Doctor' is not here along with a few more songs that help define their sound and music. A 2-disc 'Essential Series' edition would be better highlighting tunes from each disc up to and including cuts from 'Ain't Had Enough Fun' to 'Kickin' At The Barn. ' If anything this CD leaves the listener wanting more. .

Not a very representative collection but..............
I agree with the other reviewer's but. . . . . , the problem is nothing's been remastered except "Waiting for Columbus". I too, am a huge Feat fan from way back, where the hell is "Spanish Moon" ? We need to get the whole early catalog in remastered editions. I've bought a couple of the older CD's to replace my vinyl, but the sound quality sucks. .
