Got the blues
Despite their appearance, the London Quireboys didn't really fall into the hair metal scene. 1990's A Bit of What You Fancy was the debut album from British blues rockers The London Quireboys. The band had a Southern bluesy rock sound, complete with female backing vocal choir and a brass section.

The Black Crowes were the first band to hit big with this kind of style, and pretty much any band following in their wake was going to fall short. A Bit of What You Fancy is a perfectly respectable album, but if you already have Shake Your Money Maker you're not getting anything you haven't heard before. If this album had come out a year or two earlier it might have been a different story.

They may not have made a huge impact on the music scene, but the band (who would drop London from their name) has remained active, releasing albums well into the new millennium.
