This is actually remastered He's thinking about one of the earlier compilations. Please ignore the comments made by Ultimate Moose below about the "low Volume" of this collection. This one, like all other titles in "Zlota Kolekcja" series, was remastered using 24-bit process. It sounds great. Overall, this is an impressive, if not flawless, collection of songs. Certainly, some of their more successful and popular songs are missing (Krakowski Spleen, Jestem Kobieta, Eksplozja, etc. ) because the band was trying to squeeze in some of their newer songs. Still, the material is uniformly excellent. Great place to start. Then again, if you're Polish, you started long time ago. (Also, I highly recommend the new album "hotel nirvana", a return to form, and one of the most sonically interesting albums of their careeer. I believe Amazon lists it as "pieklo i niebo" which is actually the name of the first single. ). Balanced? Unfortunately, the result of this balance is the average, which is incompatible with the idea of The Best Of. This collection of Maanam songs seems to cover the whole period of their activity, seems to balance the coverage of various trends the ensemble followed throughout the years. . . What you get here is a collection of representative songs, not the collection of their hits. Compared with their other collections available elsewhere, we notice that quite the bunch of important hits are missing. In return, we get representative average songs that we feel to skip every now and then. I have bought it as my first collection of Maanam on CD, but after careful listening to the CD I felt compelled to purchase yet another one. In addition, the CD volume is very low and if you want to burn your own CD with various artists' songs on it, you might consider songs included here to stay where they are. You will experience a huge drop in quality and volume from one song to another - and I am speaking from experience. In summary - it may be a good collection to buy for starters, but it certainly will leave them almost as hungry as they had been before they made the purchase.
