Customer Reviews Wow! I was totally hooked from the first track and HAD to start collecting all of his albums. This was the first album of Dougie's that I purchased, and what an introduction! For anyone who hasn't listened to Dougie MacLean before, I would recommend this album as a good starting point. The CD is a collection of original arrangements of traditional songs. I was so totally blown away with the haunting `Neil Gow's Lament' that I bought myself a fiddle, and started to play again. But, Every track is a gem and I guarantee it will soon have you searching for more of his CD's.
Brings me back to the pub in Edinburgh
Haunting, poignant and mysteriously beautiful.....
