Customer Reviews
Nothing Really Matters-except this single
The remixes are GORGEOUS!
1. I love this song. Album Version (4:28, 10/10): Just what it says.
2. Club 69 Vocal Club Mix (7:53, 10/10): Groovy! It's a real shame that the Club 69 moniker wasn't used in more remixes, because he did a great job! (For those of you who don't know, Club 69 is Peter Rauhofer, "housed-up". )
3. Club 69 Future Mix (8:20, 10/10): Really cool, but a bit too noisy and overwhelming at times.
4. Club 69 Phunk Mix (8:02, 10/10): Phunky! I love it.
5. Club 69 Speed Mix (10:39, 11/10): No, that's not a typo. I love this one to death! The bass is KILLER!
6. Kruder & Dorfmeister Remix (11:10, 10/10): Absolutely gorgeous. Very slow take on the song. It would've been even better if, after she sang "like the future", it went into ambient-breakbeat mode.
7. Vikram Remix (7:44, 10/10): Another beautifully-done chill mix.
8. Club 69 Future Dub (5:49, 10/10): Coulda been longer, but I can't give it anything less than a 10.
9. Club 69 Radio Mix (3:44, 10/10): Love this edit! It starts out like the album version, then, when M sings "because of you", you hear a cymbal crash and it goes into the Club 69 remix! Nicely done!
You should buy this single if:
a) you love to dance
b) you are a HUGE Madonna fan, like myself
or
c) you love remixes.
9 great mixes for $7. 49! What more could you want?

One of the best maxi-cd's Madonna has made!
All the Club 69 mixes are great, but all have many similartities. This maxi-cd single has many remixes, mostly by Club 69. The two other remixes by Kruder & Dorfmeister and vikram offer a different approach to the song than Club 69, very international these mixes. the Kruder & Dorfmeister remix is more of a chillout mix offering subtle beats and synths with very few vocals. The Vikram mix is a change, very eastern and is a very different mix with very wierd beats, tunes and all sorts of other instruments. The Club 69 mixes are all fantastic, all made for different moods or occasions. The album version is the classic on this CD, very haunting at the start but very upbeat, original with great beats, bass and pianos. Madonna has really put alot of effort into this song and her vocals are superb in the original and the mixes.

1. 4:28 : Album Version (This is the classic original. It is superb and excellent piece of work from Madonna!)
2. 7:53 : Club 69 Vocal Club Mix (The extended version of the radio mix. This is a great dance tune for any clubber!).
3. 8:20 : Club 69 Future Mix (The future mix is a superb and excellent club 69 mix and very popular in the clubs!)
4. 8:02 : Club 69 Phunk Mix (Although it has many elements of the club mix it is really a superb mix, my favourite on the CD!)
5. 10:39: Club 69 Speed Mix (Another excellent mix, mainly appeals to people who like underground dance music, this mix has a lovely intro!)
6. 11:10: Kruder & Dorfmeister Remix (A change from the dance and club mixes, a very calming and soft mix with very few vocals)
7. 7:44: Vikram Mix (Very international and more indian style than anything else. I, however, enjoyed listening to it!)
8. 5:49: Club 69 Future Dub (There wasn't any need for this mix at all, the future mix was long enough!)
9. 3:44: Club 69 Radio Mix (An edited version of the club mix, short and sweet!)

.

Simply genius!
This track harks back to the glory days of Madonna's disco past, not as immediate as her older hits but, with a twist in its lyrical tale, fantastic! The video which accompanied the single was equally as impressive, harking back to the futureistic "Bedtime Story" days, inspiring other artists such as Kylie, Christina Aguilerra and Janet Jackson, elements from the video can be seen everywhere, such is Madonna's influential power! Fantastic cd package with interesting remixes! Well done Madonna, the track actually reached number 6 in the UK and number 2 on the Trans European chart!.
